"Juniors learn to play and play to learn for fun"
Junior perceiving, patterning and experiential learning of the golf swing techniques

   3.  A 2-hours Junior Golf Swing Technique Learning Session
       
Available only during school holidays in the month of March, June, September and December


Asian Golf Centre School Holiday Golf Learning Session
is designed for the junior to learn and have the hands-on experience of the golf swing techniques; including golf putting and chipping playing. This is an excellent opportunity for the junior to experience the elitist golf game requirements which is gaining vast popularity among the junior in Singapore today. The process of the golf swing techniques acquisition will foster the junior to develop the physical gross motor skill, visual perceptual skill and cognitive skills.

This session is available only during in the month of March, June, September and December school holidays.

The Benefits:

  1. Learning and knowing the golf environment names and words (e.g. safety zone, golf practice range and practice bays).

  2. Learning and knowing golf equipment names (e.g. golf club, glove, grip, shaft, clubhead, irons and driver).

  3. Learning the importance of warm up for sport activities.

  4. Learning and knowing golf swing skill names (e.g. address position, backswing, downswing, follow-through and finish-swing).

  5. Learning the steps and procedures to prepare for a golf swing action.

  6. Learning how to align the body for golf swing putting and chipping techniques.

  7. Learning and experiencing basic social graces with other juniors.

Who should sign up for this program?
This session is targeted for junior:

  1. To have a one-time hands-on experience on the golf swing skills and game requirements;

  2. Who wants to experience the learning of the golf swing skills;

  3. Who can not attend the regular golf learning program provided by the school due time constraint;

  4. Whom parents have time constraint to bring them for regular golf learning and improvement programs.

Lesson 1.  The Golf Putting Swing Technique:
The Golf Putting Swing Technique is a very challenging swing skill for junior to putt the golf ball into the hole from different distances on the putting green.

  1. Junior learns and understands the application of the golf putting shot performance.

  2. Junior learns the correct golf posture setup for the golf putting technique.

  3. Junior learns how to hold the putter correctly for the golf putting technique.

  4. Junior learns the correct the arms and hands position at Address Position.

  5. Junior learns the correct golf ball and putter clubface positions for the golf putting technique.

  6. Junior learns the single stroke pendulum swing movement.

  7. Junior learns the backswing (take away), downswing and follow through of an efficient putting stroke.

  8. Junior learns how to align the ball towards the target.

  9. Junior learns how to execute short putts accurately.

Lesson 2.  The Fundamental Golf Swing Posture Requirement for a Golf Swing:
The junior must know The Golf Swing Posture is the first step to a proficient golf swing skill performance.

  1. Junior learns what is a correct 'Address Position' for a golf swing.

  2. Junior learns the correct feet standing position.

  3. Junior learns the correct spine tilting angle.

  4. Junior learns the correct knee bowing position.

  5. Junior learns how to hold the club correctly with the correct fingers tension.

  6. Junior learns where to position the arms and hands for an efficient golf swing movement.

  7. Junior learns where to position the golf club and golf ball at Address Position.

  8. Junior learns the correct body muscles utilization at 'Address Position'.

Lesson 3.  The Full-Arm Golf Swing Technique:
The Golf Full-Arm Swing Technique is an essential swing skill for the junior to hit the golf ball to the farthest distance  within their physical and athletic ability.

  1. Junior learns the correct golf backswing and downswing movement for the golf Full-arm technique.

  2. Junior learns the correct follow-through swing action for the golf Full-arm technique.

  3. Junior learns the correct wrists flexion and extension movements for the golf Full-arm golf swing movement.

  4. Junior learns the correct body muscles group usage for the golf Full-arm golf swing technique.

  5. Junior learns the golf Full-arm dynamic golf swing motion.

  6. Junior learns golf sport physiology knowledge on Weight-transfer during a golf swing action.

  7. Junior learns how to rotate the shoulder correctly to facilitate the golf club swing action.

  8. Junior learns the function of the lower and upper body' movements and the co-ordination for the golf swing movement.

Lesson .  The Golf Chipping Swing Technique:
The Golf Chipping Swing Technique is a important swing skill for the junior to chip the golf ball to stop near to the hole on the putting green. (Usually the ball is played just outside the putting green).

  1. Junior learns and understand the application of golf chipping shot performance.

  2. Junior learns what is Visualization in golf psychology and the application for the correct golf chipping shot performance.

  3. Junior learns the correct ball position for perfect impact by the clubface.

  4. Junior learns the importance of posture setup of the body to facilitate the golf chipping swing technique.

  5. Junior learns the correct usage and function of the hands and arms for the golf chipping swing technique.

  6. Junior learns the correct usage of the lower and upper body for the golf chipping swing technique.

  7. Junior understands the proper follow through swing action for an accurate golf shot execution.

 Equipment


  Equipment:

 

A #7-iron, putter golf club and 50 practice range golf balls are provided.
Junior is required to wear golf glove the lessons.

Parent of Junior is required to fill in a Junior Information Form for our recording of their particulars, previous sport history, medical conditions and any important information that parent think is essential for the Teaching Professional to know.

Parent is required to sign the Letter of Indemnity before the start of Junior regular golf lessons.

Parent to send and fetch their Junior on time.

Junior is required come in golf attire. Golf shoe (proper sport shoe is allowed), collar-shirt and proper short or pant.

Junior must has their water for refreshment.

Strictly no foods and snack to be consumed during the lesson.

We will focus on the junior discipline, learning effort, skill excellence and enjoyment.

We provide and ensure a safe environment during the lesson.

Junior must be in good health, fitness and follows golf safety instructions during golf lesson.
Junior who
DOES NOT follow safety instructions will be stopped immediately from their golf swing practice. (This includes excessive of swinging the golf club during lessons that may cause blisters on the hands or fingers).

Junior is required to wear golf glove, golf shoe or proper sport shoe.

In the event of inclement weather the lesson will be conducted at the sheltered practice range.
