Golf Clubs Evaluation

We can check and measure the following technical parameters to assess the club suitability for the golfer that have a major effect on the shot performances namely: Accuracy, Distance, Trajectory and Feel.

Measuring Grip Size
The grip is the golfer’s only contact with the club. Therefore, it is extremely important to have the correct grip size fitted so as to assist your arms, wrists and fingers to work in unison to exploit the maximum power and control throughout your swing. A correct grip size keeps the muscles of the forearm relaxed, which in turn allows a more consistent takeaway and accordingly, a more consistent, repeating swing.

Measuring the Length of the Club:
The importance of the evaluation is to know if the length of the club is too long or too short for the golfer height. The effect of the incorrect length may causes the golfer to make many conscious adjustments to the set-up posture for the swing thus making the swing thought and swing move more complicated.

Measuring the Total Weight of the Club:
The total weight of the club has a major effect on distance and swing consistency. When the total weight of the club is too heavy for the golfer, poor shots or fatigue will arise later in the round. A loss of distance may come about even when the ball is struck on the “sweet spot” of the clubface and an overall just plain heavy feeling during the swing. This usually happens when a golfer has a chance to play continuously for few days. resulting in higher scores day by day.

On the other hand, if the total weight of the club is too light, the golfer will first experience the sensation of a faster swing, a quicker tempo particularly at the beginning of the downswing. Eventually the rhythm and tempo of the swing with a club that is too light will be more difficult to control. In most cases, a club that is too light will develop difficulty for the golfer to hit consistently on the centre of the face.

Measuring the Iron Lie Angle:
The important of the lie angle evaluation is to know the exact lie angle of the Irons at impact with the ball. The lie angle of the short irons has major effect on the accuracy of shot performance. The Dynamic lie angle test is best to determine to the correct lie angle of the Irons. It required the golfer to hit the iron on a special board to see the dynamic lie at impact

Measuring the Shaft’s Flex:
The importance of the evaluation is to know if the flex of the shaft is too flexible or stiff for the golfer clubhead swing speed. The major effect is more related to the feel the golfer experiences with the ball on the center hit and off center hit at impact on the clubface. With our Oscillation Frequency Testing Method Technology we can check your shaft flex to see if it is to stiff or too flexible for swinging or hitting style of striking the ball. The Oscillation Frequency Testing Method Technology is used by many shaft manufacturers today to facilitated shaft flex selection and rating to the golfer’s clubhead swing speed.

Measuring the Driver Loft Angle:
The standpoint of performing the loft angle evaluation is for the importance to know the exact loft of the driver, in order to know if the driver is hitting the ball farther or shorter and lower or higher in trajectory relatively to the golfer’s swinging style and clubhead speed at impact.

Measuring the Putter Length:
The correct length of a putter is the major factors from both physical comfort and all technical perspective to execute a perfect putt. It will enable your eye line direct over the ball and over the line toward the hole especially for short putt. With the correct length and a comfort posture, your arm should be able to hang freely for an efficient pendulum stroke.

When the length is too long it will set you hands to be away from the your body and at the same time it raises the toe of the putter, consequently, at impact you less likely to hit the ball on the “sweet spot”. If the length is too short you will probably stand too close to the ball causing you to raise the heel of the putter which can also lead to “mishits”. The incorrect length will encourage golfer to make conscious swing and alignment adjustment all the time for short and long putt thus resulting inconsistency in most of the putting despite practise.

Other parameters that we are checking are the set make-up, swingweight and clubhead design
